The essentials
  • MANGMI Air Y costará $ 89,99 como precio anticipado
  • Air Y Pro comienza en $145,99 durante la semana de lanzamiento
  • Las computadoras de mano funcionan con chips Snapdragon 662 y 865

The MANGMI Air Y handhelds are set to arrive in a box with prices designed to attract budget-conscious gamers, starting as low as $89.99 for the base model. The company is promoting these vertical Android devices as a cost-effective option that still offers robust console-level game compatibility.

The standard Air Y model features a 3GB/32GB configuration, powered by a Snapdragon 662 chip, a 4.2-inch 4:3 LCD screen with a resolution of 1,280 x 960, and a single analog stick for gameplay. An early bird discount brings the price down to $89.99 for the first three days, but it will rise to $94.99 afterward.

The Air Y Pro elevates the experience with a more powerful Snapdragon 865 processor, dual analog sticks, and dual stereo speakers. It comes in two storage options: 4GB/64GB at $145.99 and 8GB/128GB at $175.99. These early bird prices are temporary, with the base models rising to $159.99 and $189.99, respectively, at launch.

Battery and portability

Both Air Y models come equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, ensuring long gameplay sessions. The standard model supports 15W wired charging, while the Pro version offers 18W charging for faster power-up times. A 3.5mm headphone jack is included for audio, and the design includes a volume wheel and a vertical form factor reminiscent of the classic Game Boy look.

What they can run

Based on the specs, the Air Y should perform smoothly with games from the PlayStation 1 and PlayStation Portable eras. However, it may struggle with titles from the PlayStation 2 and GameCube generations. The Air Y Pro, with its enhanced hardware, is expected to handle most PS2 and GameCube games, as well as some ports of Nintendo Switch titles.

MANGMI has positioned the Air Y series as a budget-friendly option in the handheld gaming market. The company previously gained attention for the Air X model, which impressed users with its value for money. Now, the Y series has a concrete price point and a scheduled launch date of August 12, 2026. Pre-orders will open at 7 PM PDT on August 12, and the devices come in black and retro GB colors.
