The Redmi K100 Pro, set to debut on August 11, will be the first phone to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5V. According to Digital Chat Station, a respected source of early phone leaks, this chip shares the same high-performance CPU as the full-featured Elite variant but delivers a scaled-down GPU.
Qualcomm's new chip uses the TSMC N3P manufacturing process, which helps reduce the cost compared to standard Elite models. It retains 4.6GHz Oryon CPU cores, which means it keeps the same raw computational power seen in the pricier versions.
