Just before the start of its Galaxy Unpacked keynote on July 21, 2026, Samsung began deploying a redesigned Galaxy Wearable app to users. The update, version 2.2.70.26060861, introduces a modernized interface based on the One UI design language, replacing the app’s previous all-black appearance with subtle gradients and floating cards.
The new layout organizes key functions into three tabs: Watch Faces, Home, and Settings. The Home tab now displays a live preview of the connected Galaxy Watch, battery life, and quick shortcuts for features like notifications and app tiles.
One of the most noticeable changes is in the watch face browser, which now shows full preview images of each face rather than flat thumbnails, allowing users to better visualize how a face will look on their device before applying it.
According to reports, the update had been spotted in leaked screenshots earlier in July, suggesting Samsung had already planned to deliver the changes ahead of the official Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 launch.
