The essentials
  • MomentiveIQ Agentic Workers launch in August 2026.
  • Two assistants handle membership and community moderation.
  • Clients will preview the tools at ASAE conference next month.

In August 2026, Momentive Software unveiled MomentiveIQ Agentic Workers, a new set of AI tools tailored to streamline operations for nonprofits and associations. The initial agents, Membership Assistant and Community Assistant, are designed to handle key responsibilities like membership renewals and community moderation, allowing staff to focus on higher-level tasks.

How the Agents Work

The Membership Assistant is built to monitor member engagement and proactively identify individuals at risk of disengaging. It drafts outreach sequences for staff to review and approve before sending. By catching potential lapses early, the tool helps nonprofits and associations retain members more effectively. It also works to maintain accurate and clean data, ensuring teams can rely on trustworthy information without the need for manual data cleanup.

The Community Assistant tackles online community moderation, managing content according to each organization’s specific guidelines. It doesn’t delete flagged content outright, but rather quarantines it for staff review. This approach ensures moderation aligns with organizational values and policies, while keeping the process efficient and automated.

Both assistants are embedded within the existing Momentive software that nonprofits and associations already use. Organizations don’t need to migrate data or adopt new tools, which makes the transition smooth and integration simple. Every action taken by the AI is recorded in a timestamped audit trail, providing leaders and boards with full transparency into the decisions the agents make and the reasoning behind them.

Staff Control, AI Support

This launch is part of Momentive’s broader strategy, said Ravi Venkatesan, CEO of Momentive Software. He described it as a visible step toward a company-wide shift focused on developing agentic AI products. According to Venkatesan, the launch of MomentiveIQ Agentic Workers is an early sign of the direction the company is heading, combining automation with strategic enhancements across all products.

Dustin Radtke, Chief AI Officer at Momentive Software, emphasized that the tools are meant to support staff, not replace them. “Agentic Workers are built to supplement these teams, not replace them,” he said. Each action suggested by the AI—such as sending outreach or making moderation decisions—must be reviewed and approved by the staff before taking effect. This oversight ensures human judgment remains central, especially for organizations responsible to donors, members, or boards.

The AI agents handle the more tedious parts of the work, like identifying issues, drafting messages, and preparing tasks for review. This reduces the burden on organizations, many of which operate with limited staff and tight budgets. By automating routine tasks, the AI enables teams to focus more on engagement and strategic growth.

What’s Coming Up

The new AI tools will be available for preview during the ASAE Annual Conference in Indianapolis from August 15 to 18, 2026. Momentive clients and potential users will have the opportunity to schedule meetings to see the agents in action and learn how they can be integrated into existing systems. This preview event gives organizations a first-hand look at how the AI assistants function and how they can be adapted to different workflows.

MomentiveIQ Agentic Workers build on more than four decades of experience working with nonprofits and associations. The tools are informed by deep knowledge of dues structures, renewal cycles, and donor lifecycle patterns, making them well-suited to the unique challenges these organizations face.

For nonprofits and associations, this innovation represents a major step forward in operational efficiency. MomentiveIQ Agentic Workers offer the potential to reduce manual labor, improve data quality, and maintain high standards in community management—without requiring additional staff or major system overhauls.

The launch reflects Momentive Software’s commitment to empowering mission-driven organizations. By integrating AI into core operations, the company aims to help nonprofits and associations connect more effectively with their communities, simplify internal processes, and grow sustainably. The tools are not just about efficiency; they are about enabling better outcomes for everyone these organizations serve.

Momentive Software supports over 37,000 organizations in 30+ countries, helping them manage millions of members and raise billions in funding. With AI-powered solutions in areas like fundraising, events, and membership management, Momentive continues to evolve to meet the needs of an increasingly digital and automated nonprofit landscape.
