Jarvis' rise from a backyard hockey player to a Stanley Cup winner has been impressive. His playoff contributions were even more notable, particularly in the Stanley Cup Final. With Carolina down 1-0 in the series, Jarvis scored a power-play goal in overtime of Game 2, just over three minutes after the puck dropped. The 4-3 victory kept the Hurricanes' title hopes alive and helped guide them to the championship.
The Game 2 goal had deep meaning for Jarvis, who later joked that he had never lost a Cup in his imagination. That dream turned real when the Hurricanes won the Cup in six games against the Vegas Golden Knights. Just weeks after the pivotal overtime goal, Jarvis held the trophy, achieving a dream that began with backyard dreams in his hometown.
Jarvis wasn't the only Manitoban in the spotlight during the playoffs. Mark Stone and Brett Howden from Winnipeg and Keegan Kolesar from Brandon played for Vegas, while former Jets forward Nikolaj Ehlers joined Jarvis and the Hurricanes in celebrating a Stanley Cup victory.
