Pablo Garcia Terol from Loyola Marymount University has earned the title of a 2025-26 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar. This honor followed an impressive sophomore season with the Lions, where he demonstrated strong academic and athletic performance.
What it takes to earn the Cobalt honor
To qualify for the Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar award, student-athletes must meet several standards. They must compete in at least half of their team's rounds, maintain a stroke average below 76.0, and achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. The student-athlete must also be in good moral standing and maintain a favorable status at their university. This recognition is open to sophomores, juniors, or seniors in NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA, as well as those completing their associate's degree in the NJCAA and in their final year of athletic eligibility.
Terol's season highlights
During his first season with LMU, Terol participated in 10 events. He secured the third position on the team with a 72.50 stroke average and recorded 13 rounds under par. His standout performance occurred at the UC San Diego Invitational, which took place from March 22 to 24, 2026. At that event, he finished with a 7-under par total (69-73-67—209) and tied for third place among 104 competitors.
He added to his impressive season by posting two more 5-under rounds, including a 67 to wrap up the UC San Diego Invitational on March 24, 2026.
