Kit Design Inspired by Scottish Peaks

Scottish Rugby Union and Macron have launched a new 2026/27 Away Kit for the national team. This jersey is inspired by Scotland's most untouched and authentic landscapes. The kit draws from the rugged beauty of the Scottish Highlands. A white base dominates the design, reflecting the snow and extreme natural vistas of the region. The jersey features a tone-on-tone graphic that captures the profiles of Scotland’s famous mountains. This includes a stylised tribute to the 282 Munros and thousands of smaller peaks stretching from Stranraer to the Shetland Islands.

The graphic design transforms Scotland’s geography into a key part of the visual identity. It strengthens the emotional and symbolic bond between the team and the country. A 3D thermo-plastic print on the chest displays both the Macron Hero emblem and the Scottish Rugby Union crest. These elements are placed with care to highlight their significance. Inside the collar, a special tape alternates between the word Scotland and the national symbol, the thistle. This detail adds a layer of meaning to the design.

The complete kit includes white shorts with navy-blue drawstrings. Sky blue inserts on the sides create a visual link with the jersey’s design. Navy-blue details on the sleeves are subtle but effective in maintaining the overall palette. The socks feature sky-blue upper trims with navy-blue accents. These touches help to create a consistent and cohesive look. The design reflects a broader visual concept developed for the 2026/27 season.

Sustainable Fabric and Production

Macron has used eco-friendly materials to manufacture the new Away Kit. The primary fabric is Eco Fabric, made from 100% recycled polyester. This material is derived from post-consumer plastic, reducing environmental impact. The jersey includes inserts made from Eco Armevo, Eco Boditex, and Eco Strong Mesh. These materials provide durability, comfort, and breathability during intense matches. The design ensures top performance while being kind to the environment. Each garment is created and developed at the Macron Campus in Bologna. The inner backneck includes the Macron logo with the wording Designed in Bologna.

The full line of kits, training wear, travel wear, and accessories will be available to fans. These items will be on sale in the dedicated Scottish Rugby Union section at macron.com. The new Away Kit will join the full 2026/27 collection. This range caters to supporters and rugby enthusiasts around the world. It allows fans to connect with the team through high-quality, sustainable products.
