Samsung has launched a new physical credit card called the Galaxy Card. Applications open to the public starting July 22. Barclays issues the card with Visa as the payment network. It features a metal construction and a matte black surface with a Samsung logo on the front.

The Galaxy Card gives tiered cashback rewards. Eligible purchases from Samsung get up to 5% cashback. This includes all Galaxy devices like phones and tablets. For purchases made through Samsung Wallet, cashback drops to 3%. Streaming services such as Spotify, Netflix, and Disney+ earn 2% back. All other purchases earn 1% cashback.

The card works with Samsung Wallet. Users can keep it alongside digital IDs, passes, and keys. Samsung offers a 20% discount on its VIP Advantage membership. The VIP package includes benefits like Care+, extra rewards on Samsung.com, and early product access. Security is managed by Samsung Knox. This system provides defense-grade protection directly on devices.

Samsung has not shared full details on how the Galaxy Card is different from a regular linked credit card. The focus is clear: rewarding Galaxy users through purchase-based incentives. The card aims to boost loyalty for the Galaxy brand. The benefits make it attractive for frequent Samsung shoppers.

The Galaxy Card is part of Samsung’s broader strategy to enhance user experience. It combines financial rewards with tech integration. Samsung Wallet is designed to be a hub for digital tools and trusted partner services. The card adds convenience and security for everyday use.

Samsung will start processing applications on July 22. More news on Samsung products includes the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Watch 9. The company continues to promote new features through partnerships and creative campaigns like the Spider-Man: Brand New Day ad.
