The essentials
  • Oliveira will move back to bantamweight after her UFC Vegas 120 fight.
  • The Brazilian has been defeated in all three of her UFC appearances.
  • Oliveira says she remains at peace despite pressure from her losing streak.

Ravena Oliveira has not picked up a victory since entering the UFC. She made her promotional debut in October 2023 and has competed three times, but each ended with a loss. These results have left her in a vulnerable spot in the organization. Still, Oliveira remains unfazed about her position in the promotion.

Oliveira is set for a key matchup at UFC Vegas 120 this Saturday, facing Juliana Miller. If she loses again, it could harm her chances of staying with the UFC. Yet she keeps her cool and stays positive. She shared her thoughts on the matter, highlighting her joy at competing in the biggest MMA organization. "I'm at peace with it," she said in an interview. So I'm at peace. I'm living my dream."

Oliveira has competed in different weight classes since joining the UFC, such as bantamweight and strawweight. Her next fight will be at flyweight, but she plans to go back to bantamweight afterward, where she feels most at home.

She admitted she didn't originally plan to compete in bantamweight. She was brought in as a replacement for Tainara Lisboa’s opponent at that weight. After moving to strawweight, she had fun but felt more natural in heavier classes. The upcoming fight at flyweight is a team decision, but after that, she will return to bantamweight. "That's my natural weight class," she said. "I have more training partners and feel more comfortable there. That's the plan."

Before focusing on returning to bantamweight training, Oliveira needs to beat Miller this Saturday. A win would stop her three-fight losing run and help her build a stronger case for staying in the UFC. "I'm living my dream and doing what I love," she said, showing no worry over the pressure. A win could signal the start of a new phase in her favorite division.
