A new sports and entertainment venue, Mammoth Clubhouse, will open in east Wichita. Located next to the former All Star Adventures, which closed in 2024, the facility includes an area called the Flight Deck with automatic ball dispensers.
Sheila Atchison, the owner of the Flight Deck, said the venue is designed as a place for Wichita families and friends to gather. She hopes people will come for both golf and dining, and added that the space is built to suit golfers of all abilities.
Wichita’s love for golf was a big factor in selecting the location. The site sits near the former All Star Adventures, a well-known spot in the community. Atchison believes the area can attract both recreational and competitive golfers.
Minh Vu, a local golfer, used to play at All Star Adventures before it shut down. He described the closure as heartbreaking, but called the new facility an improvement and said it fits well with Wichita’s needs.
Mammoth Clubhouse will be open from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on other days. These hours aim to give visitors flexibility, no matter their schedule.
