The essentials
  • Godts has 'said yes' to a €45 million base transfer fee with €5 million in add-ons.
  • PSG manager Luis Enrique and sporting director Luis Campos have contacted Godts directly.
  • A €40 million bid is already on the table from PSG, per Fabrizio Romano.
  • Maghnes Akliouche is also close to a move, but Godts is the priority.

A deal close to finalizing

The club is now working to complete the deal, and it could be finalized quickly compared to other transfers PSG has been handling this summer.

According to top PSG insider Djamel, the player is fully interested in joining the French giants, and the club is showing strong commitment to finalize the move.

Backed by staff and close to Ajax

Luis Enrique, the manager, and Luis Campos, the sporting director, have both reached out to Godts personally. They believe he would be a strong addition to the squad and fit well into their system. Both officials have already discussed with the player how he might play a role in their plans.

Ajax, Godts's current club, is said to be asking around €60 million for the forward. PSG have made an initial bid of €40 million, with an additional €5 million in add-ons, which could raise the total to meet what the Dutch side is expecting.

Signings ahead of Barcola exit

With Bradley Barcola likely to leave the club this summer, PSG are actively searching for a new attacking option to strengthen their frontline. Maghnes Akliouche is another player in advanced talks, but Godts is currently the main focus for the Parisians.

The club is now in official talks with Liverpool regarding Barcola's potential sale, though there's little sign of a deal close to being struck. The priority remains to bring in one more forward before the season starts.

In the coming days, the situation with Godts could move quickly toward finalization. Both sides are showing confidence in the player's potential, and the club's technical team believes he will add value to the squad.

“Godts has 'said yes to PSG' and has agreed personal terms already.”
The next card

PSG could finalize the Godts deal within the next few days, especially if Ajax agree to the terms.
