Maryland Women's Tennis Fall 2026 Schedule Announced
The University of Maryland Women's Tennis team has revealed its detailed schedule for the Fall 2026 season.
A week after the Furman Fall Classic concludes, the Maryland team will be divided into separate groups.
The Moore Invitational will take place from September 18 to September 20, offering a three-day competitive window. In contrast, the ITA All-American Championships will run for an extended period, beginning on September 19 and concluding on September 27, giving players a week-long opportunity to showcase their skills.
The month of October will feature three major tournaments for the Maryland Terps. Their first stop will be the Charlotte Invite, scheduled from October 2 to October 4. Following that, the team will travel to Las Vegas for the W35 event, which will be held from October 5 to October 11. The Terps will close out October at the ITA Regionals in Lynchburg, Virginia, which is set to run from October 15 to October 19.
November Wraps Fall with Sectional and Invite
November will serve as the final chapter of the fall season for the Terrapins. The ITA Sectionals Championship, hosted by the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, will be held from November 5 to November 8. At the same time, the team will also compete at the UNF Invite in Jacksonville, Florida, from November 6 to November 8.
For those who qualify, the fall season could extend to the NCAA Championship, which will be held in Orlando, Florida, from November 17 to November 23. This will be the ultimate goal for top-performing players aiming to represent their university on the national stage.
Looking back, the previous season saw a significant milestone for the Maryland program. Emma Ghirardato and Ema Kovacevic, the top doubles team, made history by becoming the first pair from the university to qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship since 2011. This remarkable achievement set a high bar, and the duo will now focus on securing a second consecutive bid in the fall of 2026.
