During his sophomore year, Swanson impressed with 28 points across 40 games, including 11 goals. His offensive production and playmaking abilities make him a key player for the upcoming season.

UND's roster is complete with all 26 players in Grand Forks. Goaltender Jan Špunar recently joined the team after spending two additional weeks in his native Czechia. Unlike his teammates, who will return home in August, Špunar had to delay his trip. Meanwhile, four UND players are participating in the World Junior Summer Showcase in Windsor, Ontario. Forward Cole Reschny, along with defensemen Keaton Verhoeff and Carson Carels, represents Team Canada, having earned a bronze medal with the team the previous winter. UND freshman Cooper Simpson and 2027 commit Carter Sanderson are also competing with Team USA at the event.
