AJ Criss received a scholarship offer from Kansas State following a call with assistant coach Mike Lepak. The Krum, Texas, native has also drawn interest from schools like Florida State and Texas Tech. Standing at 6-foot-7 and weighing 205 pounds, Criss is expected to rise to three-star status, aligning with the typical evaluation of K-State recruiting targets.
The Wildcats continue to cast a wide net in their 2028 class, with a focus on defensive talent. Criss is the latest among several recent offers, including those to defensive linemen and cornerbacks from across the South and Southeast.
Among the defensive recruits offered by K-State are Ronald Crawford, a top Louisiana defensive line prospect with offers from Auburn and Baylor, and Antonio Dural, a two-way athlete from Klein Oak High in Texas who also plays wide receiver. Dural logged 30 offensive touches for 468 yards and three touchdowns last season. Steven McClendon, a four-star edge rusher from Georgia, is another key name in the class.

Head coach Collin Klein and his staff are assembling one of the strongest recruiting classes in recent K-State history. Defensive back Bryce Willingham, a four-star prospect from Georgia, is among the other top recruits to receive offers this year.
