During a performance in Salt Lake City on June 17, Jelly Roll paused his concert to announce he was taking a break from performing.
He explained that he would do his last shows in Colorado Springs and step away for a year or two. The Grammy-winning artist has shared many aspects of his life through interviews and the couple’s podcast, including challenges with IVF and a previous personal matter.
A public journey through highs and lows
Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO officially ended their marriage in May after almost a decade together. Their story, shared through the podcast and public moments, often seemed to reflect a strong and supportive partnership.
Bunnie XO revealed details about a 2018 affair in an upcoming memoir set to release in 2026. She described how that period deeply affected her emotionally. Even after their divorce, the pair remained open about their journey with IVF treatments.
Tour ends, new music on the horizon
Jelly Roll concluded his Little Ass Shed Tour in Colorado after two months on the road, including co-headline shows with Post Malone. He dropped a new song, ‘Hands Up,’ on June 24, and the accompanying video premiered on July 17.
The video for ‘Hands Up’ was filmed at San Quentin Rehabilitation Center with help from incarcerated individuals. While Jelly Roll has not shared details about a new album, he continues to work on music even as he steps back from live shows.
