In a press conference on Thursday (30/7), Guarulhos presented its team for the upcoming volleyball season. The club confirmed a coaching change, replacing Nery Tambeiro with Vitinho Willman, who guided the team to the quarterfinals of the Superliga in 2026.
Among the standout signings are outside hitter Felipe Parra and libero João Centola, both transferred from Cruzeiro. Parra joins fellow new arrivals, including Daniel, the brother of Cruzeiro center Otávio. The club also promoted three players from its youth categories: setter Murilo, outside hitter Eduardo, and center Arthur.
Guarulhos’ strategy again focuses on youth development. The club has produced two Superliga 'revelation' award winners in the past two seasons: outside hitter Léo Lukas in 24/25 and opposite Bryan in 25/26. The new squad includes young talents like 20-year-old libero João Centola and 21-year-old Thiago Vaccari, both recently called into the Brazilian B team. Returning players with renewed contracts include libero Lucas Oishi, outside hitter Machado, setters Sandro and Dudu, and centers Pedro Henrique and Henrique Guedes.
