Granola, a meeting notepad app known for its Mac version, is now available on Apple Watch. This means users can record conversations during walks, whiteboard sessions, or coffee chats without touching their laptop or phone.
The Apple Watch app starts recording with a single tap. A green screen and a sound signal that it’s listening. Users can set reminders for scheduled meetings, and the watch face makes it easy to begin recording anytime.
On Mac, Granola listens to Zoom, Google Meet, or FaceTime calls and turns what it hears into full notes, summaries, and action items. The iPhone app extended this to face-to-face chats and phone calls. Now, the Apple Watch version lets people stay hands-free, closing their laptop and keeping their phone tucked away.
This new version comes as Apple is adding AI features to the Apple Watch. watchOS 27 brings a stronger Siri experience, including a Siri app that lets users switch between devices. Granola’s launch hints at a growing interest in bringing AI tools to wearable tech.
Granola for Apple Watch is free to download and needs watchOS 11 or later. After installing the iPhone app, signing in, and following setup, users can begin using it immediately. The app also syncs notes across devices, making it possible to edit or read them on Mac, Windows, or iPhone.
