The Pixel 11 Pro Fold’s design language is carrying over to its successor, but with subtle tweaks that suggest Google is fine-tuning its approach. Freshly surfaced images in an official-looking render show the Pixel 11 Pro Fold in a new Pine green color, paired with a light gold frame. This is the same finish rumored to appear on the Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL models.
The phone looks nearly identical to its predecessor at first glance — which aligns with Google’s stated strategy of updating its hardware designs every two to three years instead of launching a complete overhaul every year. That means the company is choosing a path of refinement over radical change.
Camera bar gets a new shape and layout
One of the few major visual updates is the new camera bar. The cutouts now stretch closer to the edge of the device, reducing the amount of surrounding metal. The autofocus sensor has also been moved, now sitting beneath the flash and next to the ultrawide and main lenses. The telephoto lens remains in the top right corner, a layout familiar to Pixel Pro users.
Bigger flash hints at new notification tech
Another standout detail is the significantly larger camera flash. It’s almost the size of one of the camera lenses, which has led to fresh speculation that the rumored Pixel Glow notification system might be built into the flash module. If true, this could bring a visual lighting effect to the foldable for alerts and messages.
The Pixel Glow is a long-standing rumor that has yet to be confirmed, but the updated flash module could be a strong hint that Google is preparing to debut the feature. The space and scale of the flash are consistent with what would be needed to embed an LED-based notification system.
August 12 reveal is imminent
Google is set to unveil the Pixel 11 Pro Fold on August 12 during its official launch event. That date gives just a few weeks before the foldable officially debuts to the public. The render leak offers a final look at how the device may look when it’s finally in consumers’ hands. The leaked images also show the Pixel Glow light actively visible in the camera array, confirming earlier speculation about its placement. Additionally, the leak included images of the Pixel Watch 5 in a silver color with a bluish-gray band, as well as the Pixel Buds Pro 2 in a new green color.
New features could be meaningful to anyone considering a Pixel, because Google is expected to raise prices across its lineup in response to the current RAM crisis. In the case of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, that could mean as much as a $100 (€100) price hike. According to new high-res render leaks from Evan Blass’ ‘Leakmail’ newsletter, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold appears to be thinner than its predecessor, measuring 10.1mm when folded, down from 10.8mm. While it is still thicker than the Galaxy Z Fold 8 (9.7mm), it is now in a similar range as the Motorola Razr Fold (10.1mm).
