In an emotional account, she explained how financial difficulties led her to accept provocative acting roles and endure uncomfortable situations pushed by her former agency.
Tough agency dynamics and family struggles
Kim shared that the head of her agency frequently took her to adult nightlife spots, which she said created a very difficult time for her. She described the stress as overwhelming, especially when her mother collapsed. Kim recalled that every day felt like pure hell, and she said she simply couldn't stand living in that environment.
Kim came from a wealthy background, with her father running a successful business. However, during the 1997 Asian financial crisis, the family's financial standing collapsed, forcing them to live in a space resembling a warehouse. This hardship led her to pursue a career in the entertainment industry out of necessity to support her family financially.
Current life and new responsibilities
Now, Kim leads a drastically different life, working as a food delivery driver and dedicating her time to taking care of 15 rescued animals, including several abandoned dogs and various other creatures like rabbits and chickens. She spoke of how this new life is partly a way to fulfill a promise she made to her late father, who passed away two years ago due to a heart attack.
Kim's mother is currently living in a long-term care facility after suffering from a subarachnoid hemorrhage 15 years ago. Kim remains devoted to caring for her mother and the rest of her family, vowing to do everything she can to ensure their well-being. Her story highlights her deep sense of responsibility and resilience despite past challenges.
