  • Edinburgh will host the DHL Stormers in their first home match of the new season on May 18.

Edinburgh Rugby has welcomed Brad Davis to the coaching staff, naming him as the new defence coach. The appointment is part of the club's broader efforts to revamp its defensive strategy as it builds toward the 2026/27 season.

Davis, who recently made his move to Edinburgh, has been described as relishing the 'huge opportunity' his new role presents. The club's media team caught up with Davis to discuss his early impressions of the team, his previous career, and his expectations for the coming campaign.

The BKT United Rugby Championship fixtures were announced on May 19, with Edinburgh scheduled to host the DHL Stormers on May 18. That match marks the start of the new home campaign for the club.

Edinburgh's recent run has included notable performances, such as their three consecutive wins and their 150th point milestone achieved by Schoeman and Bradbury. The team continues to show signs of momentum as it prepares for new additions like Davis.

Sean Everitt, the new head coach, is working to transition Edinburgh Rugby into a new era, with Davis’s arrival marking another step forward. Everitt is preparing the team for what he describes as a 'fresh start, fresh season.'

Among other changes, Edinburgh is also celebrating the long-term commitment of Ashman, who has signed with the club through 2030. That adds another layer of stability to the squad as the new coaching team gets to work.
