CEDIA’s 2026 Smart Home Awards for the EMEA region have been narrowed down to 36 finalists. The finalists showcase companies from a dozen countries across project, business, and product categories. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the awards. The regional shortlist aligns with the global theme of 'Beyond What You See.' The theme highlights how smart home and integration technologies continue to push boundaries in design. It also highlights how they push boundaries in functionality. Finalists from countries such as Saudi Arabia, India, Germany, Kenya, the UAE, the UK, and several others demonstrate the growing international presence of the smart home industry.
Awards span multiple sectors
The finalists are divided into three distinct categories: project, business, and global product. In the project category, companies like Agrima Solutions LLP, Avensys, and Cyberhomes Limited are competing for recognition. The business category features a diverse range of companies. It includes Alltrade Distribution Ltd and Vinshek Private Limited. This highlights the breadth of business models operating within the smart home sector. Meanwhile, the global product category includes renowned names such as Crestron Electronics, Samsung, and Sonance. Each is known for their contributions to smart living technologies.
Judging criteria and industry support
Each entry was evaluated by a global panel of industry experts. The panel used criteria specific to each category. Judges looked at factors such as technical execution, design integration, and innovation. They also looked at business performance and overall impact. Matt Nimmons, CEDIA’s managing director for EMEA, emphasized that the finalists reflect the evolving state of the smart home industry. He also emphasized the creativity, precision, and forward-thinking mindset that define it. The awards are supported by key industry partners. Monitor Audio returns as the headline sponsor. Control4 sponsors the drinks reception. Zennio handles the after-party. CUK Group, Lutron, and Sonos provide additional associate-level support.
