Capcom 2026 Sales Drive: New and Old Games Fuel Growth

Capcom’s 2026 has sold over 8 million units of Resident Evil Requiem and 2.5 million of its new title Pragmata.

The essentials
  • Resident Evil Requiem sold 1 million units in the last quarter, reaching 8 million total.
  • Pragmata, Capcom’s new IP, sold 2.5 million units since April and led sales for the quarter.

Capcom’s Resident Evil Requiem added 1 million more units in the latest quarter, pushing its total sales to 8 million since its February launch. Despite that, it remains the lowest-selling Resident Evil entry in this timeframe, with remakes of older titles performing better. The franchise now stands at 213 million units sold across its history, making it the company’s most successful game series by far.

The new game, Pragmata, launched in April and sold 2.5 million copies, making it the top-selling title in Capcom’s lineup for the quarter. That performance is notable, given how risky it is to launch a new IP in a crowded market. The success of Pragmata shows Capcom may still have the power to create something fresh and appealing.

Devil May Cry 5 added nearly 1.3 million sales in the past three months, likely driven by the Netflix show and the Switch 2 version. Monster Hunter World sold just under 800,000 units. Monster Hunter Wilds, however, did not have sales numbers reported for the period. On the horizon, Capcom has Onimusha: Way of the Sword set for September 4 and a new Resident Evil remake in the works with Resident Evil Veronica.
