Nicole Page has been named the new head women's golf coach at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. The hiring was announced by Athletic Director Scott Corley, marking Page's return to the city where she grew up.
From Coastal Carolina to Belmont
Before joining Belmont, Page spent more than three years as an assistant women's golf coach at Coastal Carolina. While at the university, the Chanticleers earned notable achievements, including two team titles and three individual medalist awards. Under her guidance, 14 players received Women's Golf Coaches Association All-America Scholar recognition, showcasing her ability to cultivate academic and athletic success.
During her time at Coastal Carolina, the team recorded a strong performance at the 2024 Rivertown Invitational, posting a team total of 283 (-5). Additionally, the Chanticleers placed second at the 2025 Sun Belt Conference Women's Golf Championship. The program finished the 2025-26 season with 31 rounds at par or better, reflecting consistent performance and growth under her leadership.
A decorated player turned coach
Before coaching, Page was a standout athlete at Augusta University, where she earned five letters for the golf team. In her sophomore year, she led the Jaguars in scoring average and contributed to two teams that qualified for the NCAA Tournament. Her time at Augusta helped build a strong foundation for her future coaching and leadership roles.
Page completed her undergraduate degree in communications with a minor in business administration in 2022. Prior to her role at Coastal Carolina, she served as a graduate assistant at Jacksonville State in 2022-23. At JSU, she coached Claire Vermette, a first-team All-Atlantic Sun selection, and contributed to the team's transition into the CUSA conference.
Leadership and values
Page expressed deep personal significance in her return to Nashville, noting the alignment between Belmont's mission and her own values. She highlighted the university's dedication to developing student-athletes in mind, body, and spirit. Senior Associate Athletic Director Renee Schultz praised Page's background and accomplishments, stating, 'Nicole brings tremendous credentials, both as a coach within NCAA Division I and as a decorated player. We look forward to reaching new heights under Nicole's leadership.'
In her announcement, Page said, 'Returning home to Nashville to coach at Belmont is incredibly meaningful to me. I'm excited to build on the strong foundation that's been established, continue moving the program forward, and compete for championships while representing Belmont well.'
