As the Great New York State Fair approaches, officials have revealed an exciting lineup of new and returning entertainment options. The fair promises to offer a diverse range of performances and attractions without any additional cost to attendees. Julie LaFave, the state fair director, said in a press release that the goal is to provide a memorable experience for visitors and that this year's lineup is truly exceptional. One of the new attractions is the three-ring Circus Hollywood in the Exposition Center. The circus will put on shows at 12:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m., and 6:30 p.m. daily. In between shows, performers will interact with and meet fairgoers.

In addition to the circus, visitors can expect gravity-defying displays from Ski Extreme Productions. The extreme sports show will feature jaw-dropping performances with jet skis, water skis, and wakeboards. These shows will take place daily at the pond near Suburban Park at 11 a.m., 4:30 p.m., and 7 p.m. Another new highlight this year is the corgi races, set to take place at the Exposition Center. The races will be held daily at 11 a.m., 2 p.m., and 5 p.m. Additionally, on August 26 and 27, the fair will feature a spectacular drone show with over 300 drones. This will begin around 9:15 p.m. near Suburban Park and the Midway, after the evening concerts.

Exciting returning favorites

Performances will be held near the entrance of the Midway at 1:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m., and 7 p.m. daily. The Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show will also be back in the Central Park area across from the Poultry Barn. Lumberjacks and lumberjills will demonstrate their skills in axe throwing, wood chopping, and log rolling. Showtimes are at 11:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m., and 5:30 p.m.

Bandaloni, a one-man band that plays harmonica, guitar, and kick-drum, is also coming back after a year-long absence.

A grand finale with fireworks

The Great New York State Fair will draw to a close on September 7 with a fireworks display beginning around 8 p.m. This will serve as a dazzling conclusion to the week-long event filled with entertainment, food, and family fun. All of these attractions and performances are included with general admission to the fair, making it an affordable and exciting destination for visitors of all ages.
