The climax of the film showcases the full extent of Jean Grey’s powers when she is finally confronted by Peter Parker. At that point, she has already extended her psychic influence over miles of New York City. Spidey manages to break through her mental defenses and reach her before things escalate further. The final scene leaves the audience with a sense of anticipation. As Jean is shown boarding a bus and disappearing from the city. From curiosity to commitment
Sink’s journey into the world of Jean Grey began long before she ever stepped onto the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. She first heard the character’s name in the context of online rumors about her potential inclusion in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Her curiosity was piqued, but it wasn’t until a meeting with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige. And Co-President Louis D’Esposito that the full scope of the project was revealed to her. They explained how the role was envisioned and why they had chosen her for it. Though the opportunity was completely unexpected, Sink was intrigued. The musician, who was present at the red carpet premiere of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, famously let the cat out of the bag by blurting out Sink’s character name just one day before the movie was set to be released. Sink admitted that she was more flattered than annoyed by the incident. She was thrilled to hear Lacy speak positively about her character and even agreed with his observations.
